Starters: Prawn Cakes
I began with the Prawn Cakes, a deep-fried tiger prawn dish that perfectly captures the essence of southern Thai seafood cuisine. The crispy exterior gave way to soft, flavorful prawn, complemented by a tangy plum sauce that elevated the dish. It’s an excellent starter for those looking to experience local seafood in its crispiest form.
Main: Khao Soi Braised Beef (wow)
For the main course, I chose the Khao Soi Braised Beef, a classic from Northern Thailand that Thai Brasserie has truly mastered. The dish featured tender chunks of premium beef, slow-cooked in a rich, creamy coconut curry. The contrast between the soft noodles in the broth and the crispy fried noodles on top added a satisfying texture to each bite. The balance of flavors—from the depth of the curry to the brightness of the pickled cabbage on the side—was remarkable.
The dessert is to die for 🤪
To finish, the Belgium Chocolate Brownie with Coconut Ice Cream provided the perfect end to the meal. The dense, gooey chocolate paired with the light, refreshing coconut ice cream created a dessert that was rich without being overwhelming.
For anyone searching for a top-quality Phuket restaurant that offers a refined take on traditional Thai cuisine, Thai Brasserie is worth a visit. Whether you're a local or a traveler seeking an authentic yet elevated dining experience, this spot should be high on your list.
